Aerial Optical Cable gytsgyta

GYTS is a steel tape armored, gel-filled loose tube fiber optic cable designed for outdoor aerial and duct installations, offering high mechanical protection and environmental resistance. Construction and FeaturesGYTS cables are engineered for harsh outdoor environments and consist of several key components: Gel-Filled Loose Tube (T): Optical fibers are housed in gel-filled loose tubes, which are stranded around a central strength member. This design isolates fibers from mechanical stress and moisture, ensuring long-term signal integrity.

Corrugated Steel Tape Armor (S): A longitudinally applied steel tape layer provides superior crush resistance and protection against rodent attacks, making GYTS ideal for high-pressure or rodent-prone areas. Polyethylene Outer Jacket (Y): The black, UV-resistant PE jacket protects the cable from sunlight, abrasion, and harsh weather conditions, extending service life. Central Strength Member: Typically made of steel or FRP, it provides tensile strength for aerial deployment.

ApplicationsGYTS cables are suitable for a variety of outdoor installations: Aerial Installations: Overhead deployment on poles or towers. Duct Installations: Underground or conduit-based networks. Direct Burial: In some cases, for long-haul or metropolitan area networks.

Telecommunications Infrastructure: Backbone networks, access networks, and metropolitan area networks (MANs).

Fiber Types and Capacity

Supports single-mode fibers (G. 652D, G. 657A1/A2) and multimode fibers (OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4) from leading brands.

Fiber counts range from 2 cores up to 432 cores, allowing flexible deployment for small to large-scale projects.

Advantages

Mechanical Protection: Steel tape armor resists crushing and rodent damage. Moisture Resistance: Gel-filled tubes prevent water ingress.

U

V and Weather Resistance: PE jacket ensures durability in outdoor conditions. Customizable: Fiber count, sheath material, and length can be tailored for specific project requirements. Comparison with Other Outdoor CablesADSS: All-dielectric self-supporting cable, no metallic components, suitable for aerial spans without additional support.

GYT

A: Aluminum-armored cable, less crush-resistant than GYTS. GYXTW/GYTC8S: Variants with steel tape or figure-8 self-supporting designs for aerial deployment. In summary, GYTS cables are robust, armored fiber optic solutions optimized for aerial and duct installations, providing excellent mechanical protection, environmental resistance, and flexibility for large-scale outdoor network deployments.
