Routers that support fiber optic networking

For fiber optic internet, high-performance routers with Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7, multi-gig Ethernet ports, and strong coverage are essential to fully utilize your connection.

Key Considerations for Fiber Routers

When selecting a router for fiber optic networking, consider the following: Wi-Fi Standard: Wi-Fi 6 (802. 11ax) and Wi-Fi 7 (802. 11be) routers provide the fastest speeds and lowest latency, ideal for multi-gigabit fiber plans.

Ethernet Ports: Look for routers with 2. 5G or 10G WAN/LAN ports to handle high-speed wired connections and LAN aggregation for faster throughput. Coverage: Mesh systems or routers with multiple antennas ensure strong Wi-Fi coverage across large or multi-story homes.

Device Capacity: High-performance routers can manage dozens of devices simultaneously, which is crucial for smart homes or offices. Security and Features: Advanced routers include features like AI-driven network management, parental controls, and built-in security suites to protect against malware and unauthorized access.
