Cable Tray Construction in Mongolia

Cable tray systems in Mongolia provide organized, safe, and durable solutions for electrical and data cable management across industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

Types of Cable Trays

In Mongolia, the most commonly used cable trays include: Ladder Cable Trays: Ideal for heavy-duty cables and long spans, providing excellent ventilation and support. Perforated Cable Trays: Feature holes in the base and sides to allow airflow, reducing overheating and facilitating maintenance. Channel Type Cable Trays: Used for smaller cable runs, often in commercial or light industrial settings.

Wire Mesh Cable Trays: Lightweight, flexible, and suitable for complex routing, often used in data centers or architectural applications.

Materials and Durability

Cable trays in Mongolia are manufactured from galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and fiberglass, ensuring resistance to corrosion, mechanical stress, and environmental hazards. Hot-dip galvanized finishes are particularly popular for outdoor or industrial installations due to their durability in harsh climates.

Installation Considerations

Support and Mounting: Trays can be mounted on ceilings, walls, or floors using brackets, hangers, or supports. Proper alignment and spacing are critical to prevent sagging and ensure load distribution. Load Capacity: Choose trays based on cable weight and quantity.

Ladder trays are preferred for heavy or high-volume cable runs. Ventilation: Perforated and ladder trays allow airflow to prevent overheating, which is essential for high-power or data cables. Earthing and Safety: GI earthing strips are often integrated to safely dissipate fault currents, enhancing electrical safety.

Maintenance Access: Open-bottom designs facilitate cable replacement and inspection without dismantling the entire system.

Applications

Cable trays are widely used in factories, hospitals, airports, shopping centers, health clubs, and construction projects in Mongolia. They are suitable for both power and data cabling, providing organized routing, protection from physical damage, and compliance with safety standards.
