Mauritius optical cable manufacturers

Mauritius has strengthened its optical cable manufacturing sector through Aksh Technologies (Mauritius) Limited, a subsidiary producing and marketing optical fibre cables domestically and internationally. Mauritius hosts Photonics Ltd, a well-established local manufacturer specializing in last-mile FTTH solutions and copper cable assemblies, serving domestic ICT companies and regional markets including the Indian Ocean Islands and the Eastern Seaboard of Africa. Photonics provides pre-terminated aerial drop cable solutions and offers technical consultancy, leveraging a skilled workforce trained in advanced fibre optic techniques.

In addition, Aksh Technologies (Mauritius) Limited (ATML), incorporated in 2017, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aksh Optifibre Limited.

L manufactures optical fibre cables in Mauritius and markets them both locally and globally, providing cutting-edge technology, engineering expertise, and consultancy in the digital and telecommunications sectors. The subsidiary is part of a broader network of Aksh Optifibre entities, including facilities in India, UAE, and China, enabling Mauritius to participate in global optical fibre supply chains. Through these entities, Mauritius now has a strategic presence in optical fibre production, supporting telecom operators, data centers, and enterprise networks.

This acquisition and establishment of manufacturing capabilities enhance the country's role in regional connectivity, facilitate FTTH deployments, and contribute to infrastructure projects across Africa and the Indian Ocean region. The move also positions Mauritius as a hub for high-quality, scalable, and future-proof fibre solutions, capable of supporting 5G networks, high-speed data transmission, and next-generation network expansion. By combining local expertise with international partnerships, Mauritius strengthens its ICT sector and expands its influence in global optical fibre markets.
